Hamilton
74, died June 14, 2009. A pharmacist of Dudding
Rexall Drugs, an Arizona native born Sept 6, 1934 in
Mesa. He is survived by his wife Janet Burris Dudding,
children Edward, Douglas, John, Carl Jr., Robert, Patricia
and Michael Dudding, and 11 grandchildren. He is preceded
in death by his son Joseph, parents Eugene and Mona
Enloe Dudding, brother Darr and sister Monagene Vance.
Services will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, June 19 at
Bueler Mortuary,14 West Hulet Dr, Chandler AZ 85225
with visitation at 9:00 AM. Military Honors and graveside
to follow at City of Mesa Cemetery.
Carl called me
the first of June, and we talked, I was surprised to
hear from him, he asked about you, and he stated he
did not use the internet so he did not do E-mail
He did not sound
good but he presented his self as just wanting to make
contact with the rest of the Dudding family.

| Margaret Ann Speissegger, 81, of
Chandler, Arizona passed away on April 9, 2007.
Mother, teacher, artist, traveler, friend, home remodeler,
animal lover and gardener, our mother was all of these and
so much more. For thirty years, Margaret loved teaching
school in the Roosevelt School District at many different
grade levels. Margaret also loved her cabin in Northern
Arizona (Strawberry), which she took from a mere “dugout”
to a true second home.
Margaret was born in Arizona to Marguerite and
Joseph H. Glass and acted as a secret ambassador of Arizona
in her travels by leaving old copies of Arizona Highways
behind in train stations and hotel rooms. Margaret is survived
by her four children, Eric Speissegger, Karen West, Kurt
Speissegger, and Lisa Speissegger and seven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Margaret’s favorite
charities, Arizona Humane Society, Habitat for Humanity,
Hospice of the Valley, or the American Heart Association,
would be greatly appreciated. A copy of “Today Is Mine,”
sung by Glen Campbell, written by Jerry Reed Hubbard, was
printed on the inside cover. A packet of flower seeds was
pasted on the back cover. Under it was written: Margaret
loved you all dearly. Please enjoy these flower seeds in
her memory.

| Charles William Dudding, 88, died
Nov. 20, 2003, of complications from pneumonia.
He was born Nov. 21, 1914 in Huntington, West Virginia,
the son of Hamilton and Nora Campbell Dudding. He was the
youngest of eleven children.
Charles is survived by his children, Charles Patrick
Dudding (Hazel) of Liberty, SC; Carol Ann Layton (Mervyn),
of TemecuIa, CA; Robert William Dudding (Kathie) of Tucson,
AZ: and Barbara Jean Gagnon (Larry) of Sun Lakes, AZ. He
has twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and
also had many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by
his sisters-in-law, Pauline McLendon of St. George, Utah,
Edna Mae Henshaw and Gertrude Williams, both of Phoenix
and his very close friend, Ferne Moss of Phoenix.
On October 29, 1935, Charles married Patsy L. Williams,
who preceded him in death Sept. 23, 1984. Charles moved
to Arizona when he was 11 years old and helped his father
and brothers on a homestead outside of Phoenix. He was a
Boy Scout and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated
in 1932 from Phoenix Union High School and attended Phoenix
College. While he attended high school he served in the
National Guard. He attended Capitol College of Pharmacy
in Denver and graduated in 1938.
His career spanned over 35 years as a registered Pharmacist
and included serving as President of the Arizona State Board
of Pharmacy. He owned a number of Arizona Pharmacies during
his career: Dudding's Rexall Drugs in Holbrook, Rex Pharmacy
in Tucson, San Manuel Drug, and Plaza Pharmacy in Flagstaff.
In between periods of pharmacy ownerships he also held a
position as an Inspector for the Arizona State board of
Pharmacy.
While living in Holbrook, AZ, he took up flying and formed
an aero club which he enjoyed immensely. He was very active
in the communities he lived in and held various leadership
positions in a number of civic and professional clubs such
as Lions Club, Rotary, Masonic Order, Shriners, and served
on board of Southwest Chapter of AARP, as well as holding
the office of President of Los Olivos Senior Center.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 28, 2003, 9:00AM-11:00AM.
Funeral services will be celebrated Friday, November 28,
2003, at 11:00AM, at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home,
4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Interment will follow
at Green Acres Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden
Rd., Scottsdale, AZ.

| Aug 28, 2005. WESLEY DUDDING, 66, who was born in Huntington Jan. 3, 1939, died in West Palm Beach, Fla., after a short, courageous bout with cancer. Wesley graduated from Huntington East High School and attended Marshall. He served in the US Air Force in Germany then moved to Philadelphia, Pa., where he was employed by Reliance Insurance. He retired to Lake Worth, Fla. Left to cherish his memory are; siblings, June Fleming and her husband George, of Williamsburg, Va., Lowell Dudding and his wife Lucy, of Brandon, Fla., Evelyn Keno, of Tuscon, Ariz., Sue Ames of Lake Worth, Fla., Kenneth Dudding of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews who were like his own children. A celebration of Wesley's life will be Sept. 10 in Florida. In his memory, please commit a random act of kindness. 'Good Night Sweet Prince à May flights of angels wing thee to thy rest.''

SPRINGS - Tom Dudding, 57, of 504 E. Congress,
Nora Springs, died suddenly Friday (Feb. 6, 2009) at
the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb.
13, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church, 202
N. Hawkeye Ave., Nora Springs, with Pastor Wendy Johannesen
officiating. Inurnment will be at Park Cemetery, Nora
Springs.
Visitation with viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday
at the Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 N. Hawkeye Ave.,
Nora Springs. Following the visitation, he will be cremated.
Family suggests memorials to the Thomas Dudding Memorial
Fund.
Thomas A. Dudding was born on Nov. 11, 1951, in Estherville,
the son of Al and Norma (Olthoff) Dudding. He later
moved to a farm outside Buffalo Center, and attended
schools there, graduating in 1970. While in high school
he was active in FFA, winning numerous gold awards in
ag mechanics, crops, meat judging and public and extemporaneous
speaking at the state level and achieving the State
Farmer Degree. He held district officer positions and
also sang in the FFA Choir. He was second team all conference
in football.
After graduating from Iowa State University 1974 with
a degree in Agricultural Education, he taught at Glidden-Ralston
and St. Ansgar and in 1985 he went to work for Agriliance.
Currently he was working for NAU Country Insurance as
a crop adjuster, a job he loved.
As a hobby he did woodworking and carpentry. Much of
the furniture in the home was constructed by Tom in
"the shed" and he also constructed an addition to their
home. Many several beautiful pieces of furniture were
made by him for friends and family.
On Sept. 9, 1972, he married Mary McGoff in Owatonna,
Minn. They were married 36 years this past September.
Tom is survived by his wife, Mary; his three children,
son, Christopher (Maria) and their son, Jack, of Brussels,
Belgium; son, Allan (Nicole), of Sacramento, Calif.,
and daughter, Laura (Eric) Engels, of Altoona. Also
surviving are brothers and sisters, Patricia (Gary)
Pond, of Watertown, S.D., Michael (Kathy) Dudding, of
Denison, Jay Dudding, of Bloomington, Minn., Steven
(Susan) Dudding, of Morris, Minn., Barbara (Michael)
Stephens, of Fort Calhoun, Neb., and Sandra (Steve)
Boerboom, of Cottonwood, Minn. He is also survived by
many in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins
and scores of friends. He will be sadly missed by all.

| ELKHART -- Anna Marie "Ann" Dudding,
78, of Old U.S. 20 West, died at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday (Oct.
2, 2007) in Valley View Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility,
Elkhart.
She was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Williams River, W.Va.,
to Floyd M. and Ora (Calhoun) Wyatt. She married Jerome
"Red" Dudding on July 28, 1951, in Webster Springs, W.Va.
He died in 2003.
She is survived by four sons, Gary (Janet) Dudding, Dave
(Debbie) Dudding and Gregg Dudding, all of Elkhart. and
Dean Dudding of Middlebury; one daughter, Robin (Claren)
Hanson of Shipshewana; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;
one brother, Robert "Bob" Wyatt of Cowen, W.Va.; and one
sister, June (Gerald) Nettles of Ocala, Fla. She was preceded
in death by two brothers, Lester and Frank Wyatt; and one
sister, Dean Haines. Memorial visitation will be from 2
to 4 p.m. Saturday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin
St., with a service at 3:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
Mrs. Dudding was a 1945 graduate of Webster County High
School, W.Va., and a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed crafts,
free-hand artistry, reading and creating songs and poetry.
She was a volunteer at Elkhart General Hospital for many
years, serving as a Red Coat and a TV hostess.
She held a real-estate license and had worked for Dick
Carl and Associates Realty. She served as den mother for
the Cub Scouts and rooted for the Cubs and White Sox. She
was a longtime member of TOPS 966.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The Center
for Hospice and Palliative Care, South Bend.

GAS CITY - Jacqueline M. 'Jackie' Dudding, 33,
died at 5:31pm, on December 29, 2006 at St. Vincent
Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Larry Dudding
Sr. and Marjorie Shinholt and they survive. She was
an avid NASCAR and Dale Jr. fan. She was employed at
the Dollar General Distribution Center in Marion as
a loader in shipping. She loved to attend and watch
races at the Gas City Speedway. She also enjoyed reading
horseback riding, fishing, and taking time with her
family to enjoy the animals at the Gas City Petting
Zoo.
She is survived by her father, Larry Dudding, Gas City;
mother, Mrs. Margie (Myron) Shinholt, Swayzee; sons,
Skyler Ward, Upland; Stephen Dudding Guimont, Gas City;
daughter Haley Ward, Upland; two brothers, Steve (Paula)
Dudding, Ashboro, N.C.; Larry (Brenda) Dudding, Marion;
sister, Jennifer Byrd, Gas City; step-brother, Trent
(Lisa) Shinholt, Gas City; step-sister, Summer (Mike)
Sumner, Floyd Knobs; maternal grandparents, BD and Marie
Peavler, Alexandria; paternal grandmother, Sara Dudding,
Hannible, Mo.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,
cousin, a great aunt; and special friends, Todd Ingram,
Gas City; Matthew Eccles, Fairmount; and Missy.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Charlie
Dudding, Rudolph Shinholt; grandmother, Anna Shinholt.
Services will be at 2pm, Wednesday, January
3, 2007 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey
Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, with Rev. Mick Simpkins
officiating.
Burial is in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm, Tuesday,
January 2 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Dudding family in care
of the funeral home.

 Ellen
O. Dudding, 87, Topeka, died Sunday, Aug. 1,
2004, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was
born Dec. 27, 1916, in Valencia, the daughter of
Oren E. and Alice V. Morris Headlee. Mrs. Dudding
worked 43 years in the medical field and was a bookkeeper
when she retired in 1984. She graduated from Highland
Park High School and attended Emporia State College.
Mrs. Dudding was a member of the Wanamaker Seventh-Day
Adventist Church. She had served as a superintendent
and deaconess. She was a distinguished honorary
member of the Phi Tau Omega Sorority and past president
and honorary member of Shawnee County Medical Assistants
Society. She married Donald A. Dudding on Oct. 31,
1939, in Manassas, Va. He preceded her in death
on April 15, 2000. Survivors include a sister, Irene
L. George, North Highlands, Calif.; and a brother,
Milton L. Headlee, Carbondale. Funeral services
will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wanamaker Seventh-Day
Adventist Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Dudding will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel
Mid Town Chapel after 1 p.m Wednesday, where the
family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Memorial

| Gladys T. Dudding, 85, Topeka, passed
away peacefully to our Lord on Friday, April 24, 2009. Gladys
was born November 12, 1923 in Defiance, IA, the daughter
of Paul and Violet Hulsebus. She loved learning and excelled
in school. At 16, she graduated from Lincoln High School
and was a member of the National Honor Society. Gladys married
Jack L. Dudding in August of 1943 in Yuma, AZ. After World
War II, Jack worked as a detective for the Topeka Police
Department. He died in 1964. For nearly 30 years, she was
secretary and bookkeeper at First Congregational Church,
retiring in 1990. Her favorite organization was Boy Scouts
of America, where she volunteered enthusiastically for 25
years. She was the first recipient in the Jayhawk Aera Council
of the Silver Fawn award, 1973. Gladys also was Past Matron
of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 462; Past President
of HiCrest NIA; and a charter member of the Shawnee Boat
& Ski Club. Survivors include daughters: Shari Shinski (Cliff)
of Overland Park, Jacquelyn Begley (Ronald) of Auburn; sons:
Terry Dudding (Penny) of Santa Fe, NM; Tad Dudding (Anita)
of Topeka; sisters: Inez Johnson, Omaha, NE; Darlene Thompson,
Dunlap, IA; brother: Calvin Hulsebus, Dow City, IA; six
grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces
and nephews. She was also preceded in death by son, Tim
Dudding; brother, Milo Hulsebus; and special friend, Stellman
Parker. The family wishes to express special gratitude to
our dear friend Peggy Lear for her loving hospice care.
A service celebrating Gladys life will be held at 2:00 p.m.
on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at First Congregational Church,
1701 SW Collins, Topeka, Kansas 66604. Graveside services
will follow at Topeka Cemetery. Gladys will lie in state
at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 p.m. on Monday
and visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m |

Jeanette Tilma Stout Dudding, 70, of Canon City,
Colorado., died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 in Lamar, Colorado.
She was born August 12, 1938, in Englewood, Colorado.,
to Harold Francis and Tilma Magdalin Oschner Crowley.
She grew up in Englewood and attended schools there.
On June 17, 1956, she married David Keith Stout in Englewood,
Colorado.
A Colorado resident until moving to southwestern Kansas
in 1970, she had lived in Garden City and Ulysses. She
worked as a bookkeeper at High Plains Co-op in Ulysses
and as an office manager while working whith her husband
at David Stout Feeders. After her retirement she
moved to Canon City. She was a member of Shepherd
of the Hills Lutheran Church of Canon City, the Lunch
Bunch and New Neighbors, and enjoyed sewing, cooking,
making baby quilts, baking, snow skiing, bowling and
especially loved her dog, Jasper.
On October 2, 2003, She married Richard Dudding in Aurora,
Colorado. He survives. Other survivors include
two sons, Danial A and Robert K Stout, both of Garden
City; two Daughters, Cherie Davis of Sublette, and Cindy
Gilmore of Holcomb; four stepdaughters,Pan Brainderd
of Sioux City, Iowa, Vicki Dausel of Battle Creek, Iowa,
Terri Brock ofLeMars, Iowa, and Cindy Dudding of Algona,
Iowa; two Brothers, William Crowley of Monument, Colorado
and John Crowley of Littleton, Colorado.; two sisters,
Alice Briggs of Littleton, and Marjorie Seely of Eckert,
Colorado.; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildrren;
13 stepgrandchildren; and 11stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two stepsons,
Scott and Mark Dudding; and a nephew.
A celebration of her service was to begin at 2 p.m.
today as Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Canon
City, officiated by Bob Kippley, pastor. A graveside
service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Valley View
Cemetery, Officiated by Lloyd Bowen, pastor.
Richard Joseph Dudding is the son of McClellan Frank
Dudding and Oda R Menke.

Louisiana, with Rev. Truman Stagg officiating, for Ginger
W. Dudding, 64, of Indian Bayou , LA who died at
5:20 m. Monday, July 30, 2007 in her Indian Bayou home.
Burial was in the United Methodist Cemetery in Indian Bayou.
Visitation was observed t the Indian Bayou Church Tuesday
from 9 m. until 10 p.m. and Wednesday From 8 am. until time
of services.
She is survived by her husband, Buddy Dudding, Sr., of Indian
Bayou; four sons, Buddy and wife Angie Dudding of Breman,
GA, John R. and wife Cynthia Dudding of Indian Bayou, Rick
and wife Bethany Dudding of Indian Bayou and Sgt Kyle Mathew
and his wife Aahley Dudding of Indian Bayou; one brother,

Obituary - Dorothy Elaine (Dudding) Piper, Foster
64 years old
Cause of Death - Cancer
She was born on April 4, 1942, in Salem, Va., the daughter
of the late Ezra and Rebecca (Bobbitt) Dudding and lived
here for most of her life. She was employed at the former
Digital Equipment Company in Westminster as a computer
technician and later as a secretary for 18 years, retiring
in 1995.
Mrs. Foster attended the First Congregational Church
of Westminster, was a 1960 graduate of Andrew Lewis
High School in Salem, Va. and attended Mount Wachusett
Community College, Gardner. Besides her family, she
loved camping, painting, crafts, and scrapbooking. She
leaves her husband of 20 years, Edward W. Foster; two
sons, Donald E. Piper of Gardner and Jeffrey Scott Foster,
and his wife, Cindy, of Fitchburg; two daughters, Lynnette
Simoneau, and her husband, Randy, of Ashburnham and
Tammy Lynn Mitchell, and her husband, Randy, of Peru,
Indiana; one brother, Joseph Dudding of Salem, Va.;
four grandchildren, Shiela, David and Skyler Piper and
Daniel Simoneau; and seven stepgrandchildren. She was
predeceased by two sons, Clifford Piper of Fitchburg
in 2006 and Christopher T. Foster of Orlando, Fla. in
2002.
She also was predeceased by four brothers and four sisters.
The Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli
Funeral Home directed arrangements.

Sept. 16, 1958, in Bancroft, the son of Richard and Sherry
(Johnson) Dudding. He was baptized at St. John's Catholic
Church in Bancroft and attended school in Bancroft before
moving with his family to Tracy, Minn., and then to Battle
Creek. He graduated from high school in Dodge City, Kan.
He lived and worked in Garden City and Sioux City before
returning to Bancroft. He enjoyed his family and friends,
hunting and fishing, and baseball and football, especially
the Kansas City Chiefs. Survivors include his son, McCord;
his parents, Dick Dudding and his wife, Jeanette, of Canon
City, Colo., and Sherry Dudding and Bill Dudding of Bancroft;
four sisters, Pam Brainerd and her husband, Denny, of Sioux
City, Vicki Dausel and her husband, Byron, of Battle Creek,
Teri Brock and her husband, Bruce, of Le Mars, Iowa, and
Cindy Dudding and her special friend, Tom Kain, of LuVerne,
Iowa; 18 nieces and nephews; his grandmother, Veda Kuchenreuther
of Algona, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He
was preceded in death by his brother, Scott; and his grandparents,

Gloria White Dudding
Gloria White Dudding, 82, a McComb
native, avid Mississippi theater supporter and community
activist, died Jan. 15, 2008, at Heritage House Nursing
Center in Vicksburg.
Services are 9 a.m. Friday
at Church of the Mediator in McComb with an 11 a.m. gathering
at the parish hall. The Rev. David Lemburg will officiate.
Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery under direction of
Hartman Funeral Home of McComb.
Mrs. Dudding was born Oct. 20, 1925, in Clarksdale to William
Lawrence and Tycelia Johnson White.
She was an enthusiastic supporter of the arts and participated
in community theater as an actor and director throughout
Mississippi for almost four decades. She was the organizing
president of the Pike County Little Theatre in McComb and
the Clinton Community Theater, three-time vice president
of the Mississippi Little Theatre Association, secretary
and member of the board of directors of the Natchez Little
Theater and Cleveland (Miss.) Little Theater, and three-time
president of the Vicksburg Theatre Guild.
She appeared on stage dozens of times in theaters, including
the Pike County Little Theatre, the West Lafayette (Ind.)
Little Theatre, the Natchez and Cleveland Little Theatres,
the Clinton Community Theatre, the Vicksburg Theatre Guild,
Natchez Stage 67, Jackson’s New Stage, and the Sardis and
Greenwood Little Theatres. She directed a half-dozen seasonal
productions for community theatres in Natchez, Cleveland,
Vicksburg and Clinton, as well as the Church of the Holy
Trinity in Vicksburg and All Saints Episcopal School in
Vicksburg. Later in life, she wrote a number of plays, some
of which were produced in state community theatres, including
“The Villain from Vicksburg,” “SM 102,” and “Clinton: A
Clear Spring Rising.” She also wrote several sexual abuse
awareness short plays for the Mississippi Children’s Home
that were staged extensively in the Jackson area.
Active in other community affairs, she formed a foreign
film club in Cleveland, was president of the Cleveland Lioness
Club and a member of the Vicksburg Junior Auxiliary. She
was chairman of Indian Affairs for the Natchez Civic and
Welfare Club and spearheaded local efforts to give the Grand
Village of the Natchez Indians park status.
She was president of the Natchez
and Clinton newcomers clubs, served on the advisory board
of the Clinton Public Library and chaired a steering committee
to form the Arts Council of Clinton, for which she later
served as president.
An Episcopalian, she was active in various Episcopal parishes
and served regularly as a lector and in other leadership
roles.
During her retirement, she became a tutor for the McComb
Adult Literacy Council and then its president. She was presiding
secretary of the McComb Nautilus Club, gave regular book
talks to local nursing homes, and became an active member
of McComb’s Quilting Society Book Club and the “13” Club.
She loved to read and watch movies, kept up with current
events, learned to use a computer and played Scrabble and
bridge whenever she could.
She leaves many devoted friends who helped care for her
in her later years.
She was a proud graduate of
the McComb High School Class of 1943 and held a bachelor’s
degree in English from Louisiana State University and a
master's degree in speech from Mississippi College.
Mrs. Dudding was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Dudding,
an Entergy production executive; and her siblings, William
L. White Jr. of Arlington, Texas, Audrey White Soule of
Larkspur, Calif., Dawn White Christensen of Fort Worth,
Robert White of North Carolina, and Sharon White of McComb.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Janet Dudding
and James Kaihatu of Bryan, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law,
Hank Dudding and Mickie Anderson of Memphis and Gainesville,
Fla.; a granddaughter, Kristi Walski Hall and her husband
Andy Hall of Vicksburg; and two great-grandchildren, Gloria
and Sam Hall.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS - Gerlene Dudding, 70, passed
away peacefully Saturday, April 28, 2007, at her home
in Excelsior Springs, after a long struggle with chronic
illness. Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday,
May 2, at the Prichard-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in
Excelsior Springs. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until
time of services Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May
3, at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
On Feb. 8, 1937, Gerlene was born in Frankford to
Josephine (Epperson) and Walter See.
She was united in marriage to Wrennie Wayne Dudding,
her husband of nearly 55 years, on Sept. 20, 1952, in
Hannibal. He survives.
Other survivors include three loving daughters and
their families, including Cynthia and husband, Don Stocks
of Lawson, Regina and husband, Mark Frye, of Excelsior
Springs, and Stacey Renee and husband, Ben Clevenger
of Lawson. Gerlene is also survived by 10 grandchildren
and eight great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special
place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers,
Virl See and Earl See; one sister, Irene Brown; an infant
granddaughter, Amanda Brooke Dudding; and her eldest
child and only son, Michael Wayne Dudding.
Since 2003, Gerlene was a member of Flack Christian
Union in Excelsior Springs. She was a devoted wife,
mother and grandmother, who will always be remembered
for her positive outlook, her laughter and her remarkable
sense of humor.

Wrennie Wayne Dudding, 76, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at the Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center.
Born Feb. 8, 1933, in New London, he was the son of Wren and Esther Amy (Dowell) Dudding. On Sept. 20, 1952, in Hannibal, he married Gerlene See who preceded him in death April 28, 2007. Also preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Michael Dudding on Sept. 21, 1998; a granddaughter, Amanda Brooke Dudding; one brother, Dallas Dudding and two sisters, Lois Blackston and Lucille Peters.
Surviving are three daughters, Cyndi Stocks and husband Don of Lawson, Mo., Gina Fry and husband Mark of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Stacey Clevenger and husband Bennie of Lawson, Mo.; one sister, May Neer of Richmond, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dudding attended public schools and graduated from high school in New London. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict in the United States Army and was honorable discharged receiving the rank of Corporal. He worked as a truck driver for several years before going to work for Burlington-Northern Railroad. He transferred to the Kansas City facility and retired in 1988. Wrennie was a member of the Vibbard Christian Union Church, American Legion and the Elk’s Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking, yard work, traveling, hunting, fishing and farming.
Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Visitation will follow the service until 8:30 p.m. Graveside services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. was married to Sarah Imogene Lawrence on May 29, 1942. She

Sue Majors, Vicki Winfree and Rhonda Constable, all of Hannibal,
Sara E. Hudson of Blue Springs and Marla Kelly of Frankford;

Steve Dudding, all of Hannibal, Larry M. Dudding of Palmyra
and Mark Dudding of Logansville, Ga.; two brothers, Bob
Dudding of Hannibal and Ronnie Dudding of Center; two sisters,
Sally Winters of Quincy, Ill., and Jo Everhart of Okra Kake,
N.C.; 49 grandchildren; and 81 great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Henderson; four
sisters, Opal Anderson, Fleta Passmore, Fern Dryden and
Doris Peterson; and two brothers, Elmer Dudding and Don
Dudding.
Mr. Dudding was a U.S. Army
veteran of World War II. He was a retired truck driver.
He attended the Christian Science Church.

Dudding, 61, a longtime resident of Rio Rancho, died
Wednesday evening, Oct. 3, 2007. He is survived by his loving
wife, Diana, his daughter Erika Swan, her husband Colonel
and their two sons, Trey and Tyler, and his daughter Suzanne
Dudding, his daughter Danielle Welch her husband Ron and
their children RJ and Desiree, his son Don Schmitz, his
wife Karen and their daughter Allison. He also leaves behind
his brothers Jaymes Dudding and Lloyd Dudding, and his sister
Virginia Hooten, and many other friends and family members.
Richard was born in Flagstaff, AZ, and moved to Albuquerque
in 1947. He graduated from Valley High School in 1963. Richard
was a realtor with ALLSTAR REALTY, LLC, and had been in
the real estate business for over 35 years.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m.
at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 2400 Southern Blvd.,
Rio Rancho, NM 87124. In lieu of flowers, donations can

the casket was closed and not be re- opened.
Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park 1100 Coal SE in

died on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Autumn Care Nursing
Home. A native of Wayne County, West Virginia, she
had resided in St. Petersburg, Florida before moving
to Haywood County in 2007. She was the daughter
of the late William and Grovie Loar Sturgill and
was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence
Dudding, who died in 1982, one sister; and seven
brothers. She retired as a computer administrator
for Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. She
was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed quilting, sewing,
gardening, and reading. She is survived by one daughter,
Marsha Harmon and her husband, Tom, of Waynesville;
two sisters, Florence Mygdal, of St. Petersburg,
Florida and Ethel Roberts of Columbus, Georgia;
one grandson, Luke Harmon and his wife, Allyson,
of E. Petersburg, PA; and two great-grandchildren,
Micah and Caeden Harmon. Services and burial will
be in Ohio at a later date.

1951 O.F. Dudding Relatives here learned of the death
Saturday of O.F. DUDDING, 50, at his home in Yamhill, Ore.
He was a former resident of Topeka and had lived here from
1930 until 1942. Mr. Dudding died of a heart attack.
He was born April 4, 1901, at Ottawa, Kan. He and his family
moved to Yamhill nine years ago. For several years he was
an employee of the Union Pacific railroad, but recently
he had farmed.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Dudding, of the
home, four daughters, Mrs. Betty SMITH, Mrs. Pansy HARTFORD
and Miss Dorothy Dudding, of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Patricia
SULLY, McMinnville, Ore., four sons, Jack and Forrest, both
of Topeka, and Bob and Phil of the home, and six grandchildren.

Pa.
Born Sept. 1, 1918 in Stonerstown, Pa., she was a daughter

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ocie M. Dudding.
Ruth was a member of the Little River United Methodist
Church.
Survivors include her niece, Lois Hydak and her husband,

May 12th at the mausoleum chapel of North Myrtle Beach

Christine A. Dudding, 74, of Nitro went home
to be with the Lord on June 24, 2005, after a courageous
battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Dudding;
daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Addison Horton; son
and daughter-in-law, Rick and Theresa Dudding; grandson
and his fiancée, Brian Racer and Daisy Powell; granddaughter
and her husband, Michelle and Marshall Brickey; great-granddaughter,
Taylor Racer; and three sisters.
She was a homemaker and member of St. Paul's United
Methodist Church in Nitro where she enjoyed playing
the organ.

Iowa. Together they raised five sons and settled in
Hereford in 1974.
They moved to Amarillo in 1990. She was a proud homemaker,
wife and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dudding;
a son, Allen Dudding of Amarillo; and two brothers,
Marvin and Edward Wertjes, both of Lakota.
Survivors include four sons, Mike Dudding, James
Dudding and David Dudding and wife Laurie, all of Amarillo,
and John Dudding of Lubbock; a sister Berneice Eichenberger
and husband Walter of Des Moines, Iowa; 11 wonderful
grandchildren that she lived her life for, Kevin Dudding
of Omaha, Neb., Kristen Dudding and Cody Dudding, both

Hubert (Sam) Dudding, Jr., 73, of Eagle Rock, passed away
in his sleep on Saturday morning, September 22, 2007.
Sam was a member of the Eagle Rock Baptist Church, had
served as a military policeman in the US Army, and retired
from Catawba Hospital after 13 years of service. He also
enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Teaford Dudding,
son, Emmett H. "Eddie" Dudding, III, parents, Emmett H.,
Sr. and Marie Elizabeth Austin Dudding, and brothers, Delbert
A. Dudding and Frankie Dudding. He is survived by his son

Frances Louise Clark Dudding, 80, of Lynchburg,
Va., died Thursday, October 16, 2008. She was the wife
of the late Howard "Woodie" Eugene Dudding. Louise was
born August 22, 1928, in Salem, Va., a daughter of the
late Samuel Henry Clark and Frances Lynch Clark. Louise
was retired from The News & Advance where she worked
in display advertising. She was an avid bowler and was
proud to be in the Bowling Hall of Fame and had been
a member of the YMCA adult swimming aerobics class.
Louise was a proud member of Tyreeanna United Methodist
Church where she the choir director for over 40 years,
played the piano, and loved being with her church family.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon D. Crist-Austin
and husband, Bobby, of Lynchburg, and Deborah "Debi"
Baker and husband, Warren, of Madison Heights; her grandchildren,
Stephen Crist and wife, Jacquie, of Appomattox, Lori
Baker, of Madison Heights, and Lindsey Hinkley and husband,
Joel, of Madison Heights; her greatgrandchildren, Alison,
Madelyn, Savannah, Jasmine, Brandon and Quinten; her
sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Clark, of Richmond, Marjorie
Dupree and husband, Jerry, of Buchanan, Margaret Huffman
and husband, Earl, of Madison Heights, and Libby Dudding,
of Eagle Rock; her devoted friend and neighbor, Louise
Deacon and family; along with a host of nieces, nephews
and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death
by five sisters, Eva Carlock, Gladys Cook, Evelyn Fisher,
Lucy Carper and Gertrude Falwell; and six brothers,
Wilburn Clark, Walter Clark, Colonel Clark, Harry Clark,
Woody Clark and Dick Clark.
The family will receive friends at Louise's home. A
visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday,
October 19, 2008, at Tyreeanna United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with the
Reverend James Wimpy Martin and the Reverend C. Douglas
Pillow officiating. A second visitation will take place
following the service at the church. Interment will
be held 11 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2008, in Fort
Hill Memorial Park.

of New Castle, died Friday, January 23, 1998.
He was a beloved husband and of Christian faith. He was
a native of Craig County, but made his home in Waiteville,
W.Va., until recently moving back to New Castle. He was
an electrician with the I.B.E.W. Local #637.
He was proceded in death by a son, Gene Ervin Dudding;
parents, Shube and Katie Dudding, and four brothers, Howard,
Claude, Kenneth and Robert. Surviving family includes his
wife, Mary Margaret Williams Dudding; three sons, James
of New Castle, Joe C. of Narrows and Donnie of Waiteville,
W.Va.; six daughters, Mary D. Harris of Covington, Rachel
D. Elmore of Covington, Una Lake Drummond of New Castle,
Edith McPeak of Walkertown, N.C., Debbie Carter of Roanoke
and Cissy Sowers of Salem; 19 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday,
January 26, at New Zion Union Church, Waiteville, W.Va.
The body will be placed at the church one hour prior to
the service. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9
p.m. Sunday at Paitsel Funeral Home in New Castle.

| Mary Louise Dudding Vaughn, age 83,
of Eagle Rock, Virginia died suddenly on Sunday, July 28,
2002.
She was a life long resident of Eagle Rock and a life
time member of the Eagle Rock United Methodist Church. Her
long and joyous life was dedicated to family, Church and
many friends. She will be sadly missed by all.
She was born on May 26, 1919, the daughter of the late
Shelton David and Mamie Whitmer Dudding. In addition to
her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Emmett
and Jack Dudding, son James M. Vaughn , Jr. and a grandson
Neil Edward Vaughn.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James M.
Vaughn, Sr., Eagle Rock, son and daughter- in- law, David
A. and Frances M. Vaughn of Woodbridge, Va., son, John A.
Vaughan of Urbanna, Va., daughter and son- in- law, Priscilla
and John B. Vaughan, III of Tappahannock, Va., son- and
-daughter in law, George and Jan B. Vaughn of Cincinnati,
Ohio, daughter and son- in- law, Rosemary and David J. League
of Richmond, Va., Daughter in law, Rita B. Vaughn of Eagle
Rock, brother Charles D. Dudding, of Eagle Rock. Also surviving
are eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous
other family members.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 1, 2002
at 2:00 P. M. in the Eagle Rock United Methodist Church
with interment to follow in the Church Cemetery. The family
will receive friends on Tuesday evening at Nicely Funeral
Home, Clifton Forge from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. and at the
Eagle Rock United Methodist Church on Wednesday evening
from 7:00 until 9:00 PM. The body will be placed in the
church one hour prior to the service at the church.

of 362 Roxbury Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died, Thursday,
December 30, 2004 at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.
She was born on June 6, 1920 in Craig County, Virginia,
a daughter of the late Zelotes Odell and Lola Lockhart Dudding.
Mrs. Persinger was a homemaker and a member of the Clifton
Forge Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, James M. Persinger, Jr.
of Covington, Dennis E. Persinger of Clifton Forge, and
William R. Persinger of Clifton Forge; one sister and brother-in-law,
Edna and Bill Oakley of Staunton; one brother and sister-in-law,
Charles and Doris Dudding of Hopewell; four grandchildren;
four great grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Ruth Bush
of Clifton Forge; and a number of nieces and nephews. In
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
husband, James M. Persinger, Sr. in 1975; one son, Odell
Dudding; one brother, Frank Dudding; and one sister, Lillian
Childs.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 3,
2005 at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home,
Clifton Forge with Reverend J. Glenn Linthicum officiating.

Salem, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2005 following
her illness. She was born in Salem in 1931 to the late Ezra

brother, Bill Dudding of Yuma, Ariz.; half-sisters, Leon
Harrell and Anna Bell Lovern; and half-brothers, George,

of 57 years, Wesley Ferguson; son, James Ferguson and wife,

Pearl Amos *Dudding*, 95, of Roanoke County,
died Monday, February 7, *2005*. Pearl was a longtime
member and the oldest person at Red Hill Church of the
Brethren, where she had sung in the choir for over 50
years and had served as church treasurer. She was a
former employee of American Viscose Corp. with 33 years
service. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband,
Wilbur A. *Dudding*; and her grandson, Jason E. Meyers.
Surviving are her daughters, Gail D. Wood of Boonville,
N.C., Cindy D. Meyers of Phoenix, Az.; her grandchildren,

She was born July 1, 1926, in Huntington, a daughter of
the late Frank and Ida E. Dudding Goucher. She was
the owner of Park Inn and High School Grill, Milton, and
Putnam Theater, Hurricane, and a former employee of Hill's
Department Store. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Sam J. Scheidler.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cimba and
Jim Johnson of Ona; sons and daughter-in-law, Samuel H.
and Valerie Scheidler, and Jim Scheidler and his fiancé,
Lillian Black, all of Milton; grandchildren and spouses,
Samuel J. and Jo Anna Scheidler, Matthew A. and Felicia
Scheidler, Kelli D. and David Gilreath, Jamie Y. and Steve
Day, Jimmy Scheidler and Jamie Johnson Woods; great-grandchildren,

Forrest “Gene” Edwards, 79 of Culloden passed
away Sunday, October 19, 2008, at the Hospice House
of Huntington.
He was born August 11, 1929, and was a son of the
late Jay P. and Gladys Dudding Edwards. He was preceded
in death by his sisters, Dorothea Williams and Ruth
Edwards Thompson; brothers, Franklin and Samuel Thompson
and Douglas Edwards; and a brother-in-law, Lou Hayes.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce Garrett
Edwards; daughters and sons-in-law Natalie and Rex Dillinger
of Milton and Melissa and Travis Goodwin of Greenville,
S.C.; and one son and daughter-in-law, Dwight and Tammy
Edwards of Culloden. Gene is also survived by three
wonderful grandsons, Ben and Jacob Dillinger of Milton
and Johnathan “J.D.” Edwards of Culloden. Also surviving
are his sister, Yvonne Hayes of Culloden; and his brother
and sister-in-law, James and Nadine Edwards of Scott
Depot.
Gene served in the U.S. Navy as an engineman/fireman
on the USS Kent from 1948 to 1950. He was retired from
Union Carbide/Rhone-Poulenc, Institute.
He was a member of the Culloden Volunteer Fire Department
for many years and also a member of the First Baptist
Church of Hurricane.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday,
Oct. 22, at the Valley View Memorial Park Chapel of
the Guardian Angel Mausoleum, Hurricane, by Jim McGehee.
Military graveside services will be conducted by American
Legion Post 139, Milton.
Visitation services will be conducted one hour prior
to the service at the mausoleum chapel.

Verdunville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 31,
2007, at South Williamson ARH in South Williamson, Ky.
Born April 15, 1935, at Hedgeview, she was a daughter of
the late Rev. Buford and Eunice Thompson Morris. Also preceding
her in death was one brother, Junior Morris of Verdunville.
Lula Mae was a faithful member of the Verdunville Church
of God.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday August 6, at
the James Funeral Home Chapel at Aracoma with Rev. Michael
Hartwell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory
Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will begin at noon Monday at the funeral home.

Wanda Jean Dudding, 71, of Scott Depot went home
to be with the Lord Jan. 15, 2007, at CAMC General Hospital,
Charleston.
Born April 29, 1935, in Putnam County, she was a daughter
of the late Clayton C. and Opal Marie Tucker Dudding.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lou
Frazier, and her brother, Jimmy Dudding.
She was a homemaker, a member of Providence Baptist
Church, Scott Depot, and a loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry
and Raymond Conner of Paris, Ky., Carla and Rick Cook
of Hurricane and Susan and Sandy Roush of Scott Depot;
her sisters, Sharon Jones and Carolyn Rudd, both of
Cincinnati, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Bumgardner
and his wife, Brandi, Nick Bumgardner and Madora and
Cassandra Roush.
Service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Providence
Baptist Church, Rocky Step Road, Scott Depot, with the
Rev. Robert Kelly and the Rev. David Bess officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 PEACH
CREEK, W.Va. — Following a long illness, Michael Keith
Dudding, 49, joined his Lord Jesus Christ on Friday,
February 1, 2008.
Michael was born January 14, 1959, and was a life long resident
of Peach Creek. He was preceded in death by his paternal
grandparents, William and Hattie Mae Dudding of Peach Creek,
and maternal grandparents Alpha and Sylvia Davis of Chapmanville.
Survivors include his mother, Jean Davis Dudding; father,
William ”Bill” Dudding; brothers, Greg and Bobby Dudding;
two sons, Brent (Rebecca Simms) Souliere of Jacksonville,
Fla., and Michael (Allyson) Dudding of Memphis, Tenn., as
well as several uncles and cousins.
Michael was a 1978 graduate of Logan High School. He
was a disable coal miner and was baptized at Peach Creek
United Methodist Church. Michael will be sadly missed by
a host of friends who loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held at Honaker Funeral Home on Friday
at 11 a.m. Services will follow at noon with Rev. Bill McDonald
officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Lanthorne, Michael Nolletti, Steve
Adkins, Terry Adkins and Andrew Staton. Honorary pallbearer
will be Tony Lombardo.

COAL GROVE - Glenna A. Dudding Bruce, 70, of
Coal Grove, passed away Dec. 19, 2004, at a local health
center.
She was born Oct. 19, 1934, in Tornado, W.Va., the daughter
of Demmia Racer Dudding Wheeler of Scott depot, W.Va.,
and Jerome Dudding, deceased.
She was a graduate of Blackfork High School and Chesapeake
Beauty Academy. She was a former nurse's aide at several
nursing homes and was also a beautician who owned and
operated her own beauty shop at Rock Camp. She formerly
sang with The Gospelaires and the Bruce Family Singers.
She spent most of her life in Lawrence County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Lee
"Bill" Bruce, who died March 28, 2000; her father, a
brother, Jerome Dudding Jr., and her step-father, Alfred
Wheeler.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a sister,
Dreema Chapman of Scott Depot, W.Va., a brother, R.C.
Dudding of South Point; a niece and care giver, Pam
Neal-Wagner of Coal Grove; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Lawrence
Furnace Cemetery with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating.
There will be no visitation. Phillips Funeral
Home is in charge of the arrangements.

DUDDING, 68, of Racine, wife of John Dudding, died Monday
at home. She was a secretary. Funeral 11 a.m., Greenwood
Cemetery. No visitation. Arrangements by Cremeens Funeral
Home, Racine. Contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Her name is Martha M Stowe born abt. 1936, looks like she
died June 14, 2004. She is the wife of my 1st cousing,
John Franklin Dudding the son of John Cambell Dudding my
uncle. The obituary had nothing more. I have
not been able to find anything else on her.

L. Dudding Fish Bloede, 100, passed away July 8, 2004,
in Fair Lady Personal Care Home, Winfield, after a short
illness.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed music, flowers, and cats
and dogs. She was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist,
St. Albans.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Paul
A. Bloede; and daughter, Mary Fish Morrison.
Mrs. Bloede is survived by son, Charles E. Fish and wife,
Jean, of Cross Lanes; grandson, Stephen C. Fish of Nitro;
great-grandson, Alexander Fish of Nitro; son-in-law, Ray
D. Morrison of Charleston; and special friend, Marilyn Mason.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to
Charlotte Stanley and the other employees of Fair Lady Personal
Care Home and Kanawha Hospice Care for their wonderful care
of Elizabeth.
In accordance with Mrs. Bloede's wishes, her body has
been cremated.
There will be no service or visitation.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home,
Dunbar.
